I originally came with a US state Department funded program as an English Language Fellow. I taught courses in English and educational teaching methods for researchers and professors at the University of Tartu.

What is the best thing about living in Estonia?
Easy access to nature. Clean, safe living environment. Openness to new ideas at university.
How would you describe your career perspective in Estonia?
Beyond my fellowship there have been many professional opportunities for me in Estonia which honour my educational background and capitalize on previous experiences working with faculty and students.
What was the hardest thing for you to adjust when you moved to Estonia?
Long dark winters with relatively little sunshine
What do you miss from your home country?
Family & friends – the wide open spaces and skies of the American West
