On the 17th-18th of May 2014, EURAXESS brought researchers to Ida-Viru County to do some voluntary work and, of course, to see the best sights of the region. Our mission was to clean the territory of the old manor complex of Kiikla Children Home. On this weekend, we also visited the Kohtla Mining Park and its Underground Museum—a great touristic attraction of the region. The cherry on the cake was a walk in Toila Oru Park situated on the coastline of the Gulf of Finland is known for its amazing landscape and rare plant species.
