The EURAXESS autumn networking event was held on the 19th of November at the Estonian National Museum in Tartu. International researchers and their family members spent a day filled with different activities learning about Estonian history, culture and traditions. A short presentation about the history of the museum and scientific work at the museum was given by the museum research secretary. The museum guides introduced the permanent Estonian exhibition “Encounters” and the permanent Fenno-Ugric exhibition “Uralic Echo”. In the “Copper crafting” handicraft workshop participants learned how to make traditional decorations for clothes using fine copper wires. At the same in the other workshop participants learned to make typical Komi bread and enjoyed a discussion about hospitality traditions in different countries.
